Occasionally the keys fail and you do not get the letters? Try to clean the keyboard this way!

It is not recommended to eat or drink near the laptop, but we have all done it once. (Unfortunately, sometimes it happens too much when there is much work to do, right? :-D)

If by one side the liquids cause more evident and immediate damages, also the crumbs can accumulate for months and cause us some problems by putting under the keys, preventing us to write correctly. And when there are crumbs there are hairs of pets, dust and many other rare things that we have encountered during so many years of customer service. Spiders, clips, pieces of tortilla, ham, cheese, diamonds ... and many other unconventional things.

Fortunately there are some good practices that can help us take care of our Slimbook.

Slimbook carries a keyboard with island type keys and this prevents the accumulation of most of the larger particles of dirt.

Let's see how to clean our keyboard if we detect that the keys show signs of malfunction. Let's use an infallible ally: compressed air.

1) Turn off the Slimbook and disconnect it from the mains.

2) Open the Slimbook and place it on one side, like a book, in the form of a "V".

Optional: If you need to remove a key for a better cleaning, in the following video you can see how to remove and place a key in your Slimbook: ¿Cómo cambiar y colocar una tecla de tu SLIMBOOK ? / How to change and place a key of your SLIMBOOK?

33) Take the can of compressed air and put the small plastic tube.

4) Approach the failing key and cast the air from different points.

(By tilting the can of compressed air can cause the liquid contained in it to come out and produce condensation. Watch out!)
