PRO BIOS Patch: Optimizing Fan Performance

In the following tutorial we teach you to apply a patch for the BIOS of the SLIMBOOK PRO, which delays the powering of the fan, and controls it more sequentially. We will not need Windows or Linux to apply the following patch.

Before you begin, you should make sure your computer is a PRO with i3-7100u, i5-7200u or i7-7500u processors.
If a problem arises during the optimization, you could damage the equipment and lose the warranty, it is not recommended to perform unless it is strictly necessary. Not required for PRO computers received after June 27, 2017.

Here's what you should do:.

1.- Download ZIP from the download section of our website: here (to access the section you must have a buyer account and be logged in)

2.- Unzip the ZIP in an empty USB Pendrive.

It is important that the files and the EFI folder are in the root of the Pendrive.

Be careful, because sometimes when decompressing a folder with the name of the ZIP is created. It is the contents of the folder that must be in the root.

3.- Restart the computer CONNECTED TO THE POWER SUPPLY and press F7 to get you the boot menu.

4 - It starts from the Pendrive, and you will see that it tells you some things, like what are the disks of your computer and what the Pendrive. Press enter.

5 - In the Shell terminal that will have started you must go to the root of the unit of the Pendrive, and that it is very possible that you can go typing:

fs1:

(Depends on the disks you have can be fs0 or fs2) (Do not forget that now the keyboard layout is English)

6 - Type this other command to make sure it is on the correct disk, it will list the contents to you. If you see the files you copied to the Pendrive, you are in the correct drive:

ls

7 - Type the following command and wait for it to finish:

EcFlash.NSH

8 - Once finished, the screen will turn off, wait 4 seconds and remove the power supply. Put it back and hit the power button.

You already have it :)
