Slimbook presents: KYMERA

SLIMBOOK gets out its comfort zone and enters a new market branch, desktop computers. But they have not just launched a desktop computer, SLIMBOOK launches a new product range called KYMERA, being as always pretty customizable.

Their computers main external characteristic, aluminum, is still present; but this time as a central plate of high density brushed aluminum, with two black tinted semi-transparent methacrylate plates on its sides. A very nice appearance, with an even more striking interior, and all that taking the least amount of space thanks to its MicroATX format.

KYMERA's range is separated into two branches: VENTUS and AQUA, both having GAMING motherboard options, allowing you to choose up to an i7-8700K processor and a NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti graphics card. Thus becoming a computer designed to play and also to perform professional editing tasks, either editing photography or 4k video.

Mid-range?

On this occasion we can find in SLIMBOOK computers below € 550, the lowest being the price of the VENTUS model in its default configuration, with an Intel i3 processor. This is new in SLIMBOOK, since it always commercialized i5 and i7 processors, in computers of superior prices.

You can see configuration options for this model aquí/here.

High-end?

SLIMBOOK has released a computer Linux users could not find until now, or at least not easily. A computer with configurations usually seen only in Windows, but maintaining a perfect balance and compatibility in both Windows and Linux.

The AQUA version, as its name already suggests, its characterized by having custom water cooling, with cooling possibilities for only the CPU or for the CPU and GPU through 2 radiators not directly communicated. First-class components, such as its 14mm tubes, its 4-washer fittings, its flow indicator, or its blue color wiring.

The AQUA version only offers the best motherboard, the MSI Z370M GAMING PRO AC, which activates GAMING BOOST and OVERCLOCK by pressing a single button.

The configurations can be found aquí/here.

Play on Windows and Linux ?, and with the same computer?

Yes, it is now possible thanks to Steam, which has improved the compatibility of games with Linux, you can play hundreds of games. The Witcher 3 (Steam play), Hitman, and CSGO (Natives) have already been tested.

Currently Godot, Uneal and Unity game engines already allow to deploy games for GNU / Linux at the same time as Windows, so in the future it will surely increase the number of games you can play on Linux.

To finish here you have the video presentation of the AQUA version. If you are looking for more information and photos, do not forget to visit these links: VENTUS y AQUA
